AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, KODIAK,
ALASKA, AMENDING THE 1970 -71 BUDGET BY TRANSFERRING THE SUM
OF THIRTY -FOUR THOUSAND AND NO /100THS ($34,000.00) DOLLARS
FROM RESERVES FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS TO LOCAL SOURCES
UNAPPROPRIATED SURPLUS IN THE BUDGET OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH SCHOOLS AND PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENDITURES OF THE
SAME FOR THE OPERATION OF THE CLASSROOM FACILITIES IN THE
DOWNTOWN K. C. BUILDING.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 71 -8-0 is the Kodiak Island
Borough Budget Ordinance and on Page Four thereof under the
heading "Reserves for Capital Liprovements ", General Fund,
there appears the sum of SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS AND N0 /100THS
($60,000.00) DOLLARS, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is necessary
that the Kodiak Island Borough Schools expend the sum of
THIlm-FLOUR THOUSAND AND NO /10XHS ($34,000.00) DOLLARS to
provide for the operation of classroom facilities in the down-
town K.C. Building and in order to provide for this expenditure,
that certain amendments mist be made to the Budget as it now
exists.
NOW, THERE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly of the Kodiak Island Borough as follows:
Section 1. On Page Four of Ordinance No. 71-8 -0 under
the heading "Reserves for Capital Improvements ", the sum SIXTY
TmUSAND AND NO /100THS ($60,000.00) DOLLARS shown for General Fund,
is hereby amended to read TWENTY -SIX THOUSAND'AND N0110ME ($26,000.00)
DOLLARS, and under Section 3 thereof, 3.A. Summary of Revenues "Local
Sources ", Unappropriated Surplus is amended from SEVENTY -ONE THOUSAND
FIVE HUNDRED TWO and N0 110ME ($71,502.00) DOLLARS to ONE HUNDRED
FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED TWO and No /100THS ($105,502.00) DOLLARS,
and the Total Local Sources is amended to read FOUR HUNDRED FOUR
THWSAND TWO and No /100THS ($404,002.00) DOLLARS, and Total Reserves
for Capital Improvements as amended from TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-TWO THOUSAND

Section 2. On Page Six of Ordinance No. 71 -8-0, Item
500 Pupil Transportation, 520. Contracted Services is changed from
ONE HUNDRED TWENTY -FIVE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FORTY -SIX and No /100ths
($125,646.00) DOLLARS to ONE HUNDRED THIRTY -SIX THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED
FORTY -SIX and No /100ths ($136,446.00) DOLLARS.
Section 3. Item 600 Operation of Plant 610. Salaries is
changed from ONE HUNDRED FOURTEEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SIXTY -THREE
and No /100ths ($114,263.00) DOLLARS to ONE HUNDRED SIXTEEN THOUSAND
SIXTY -THREE and No /100ths ($116,063.00) DOLLARS; 620. Contracted
Services is changed from TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED SIXTY and No /100ths
($2,660.00) DOLLARS to THREE THOUSAND SEVENTY and No /100ths ($3,070.00)
DOLLARS; 650. Supplies is changed from ELEVEN THOUSAND SEVEN
HUNDRED FIFTY and No /100ths ($11,750.00) DOLLARS to ELEVEN THOUSAND
NINE HUNDRED EIGHTY -NINE and No /100ths ($11,989.00) DOLLARS and the
Total from TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY -TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY -SIX
and No /100ths ($272,426.00) DOLLARS to TWO HUNDRED SEVEM -FOUR

Section 4. The expenditures to be increased as follows:
