AN ORDINANCE REZONING LOTS ONE (1) THROUGH SEVEN (7) BLACK
TWO (2), ALLMAN ADDITION FROM R -1 TO R -3.
0 WHEREAS, AS 07.15.430 empowers the Borough to enact zoning
ordinances and provide for their administration enforcement and
amendment, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has pursuant thereto
adopted Chapter 5 of its Code of Ordinance and Resolutions, which pro-
vides for planning and zoning provisions and procedures, and
WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive planning and zoning
map adopted by the Kodiak Island Borough, Lots One (1) thidough Seven (7),
Block Two (2), Allman Addition has been classified as R -1, and
WHEREAS, a petition has been received from DENNIS CESSNA
stating that he is planning a four -plex in the above - described area, and
WHEREAS, adjacent properties thereto are R -3 and Business and
said lots current use is R -3 and has been for approximately years,
WHEREAS, the petition was considered at a Special Meeting of
the Planning & Zoning Commission on the 30th of July, 1971, and the
Commission concurred in the rezonipg of said area.
WHEREAS, it has been determined that public necessity,
convenience and good zoning practice require such reclassification,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Assembly of the
Kodiak Island Borough that the property known and described as:
LOTS ONE (1) THROUGH SEVEN (7), BLOCK TWO (2), ALLMAN ADDITION
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY reclassified as R -3 and that notice of
this Ordinance be given by publication in the Kodiak MIRROR seven (7) days
prior to the second reading and that a public hearing be held thereon on
the date of the second reading and that this Ordinance become effective at
the expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoption.

SECOND READING, PUBLIC HEARING AND PASSAGE DATE: August 5th, 1971
