WHEREAS, AS 07.15.340 empowers the Borough to enact a zoning
ordinance and prcmidas for its administration, enforcement and amendment, and
SAS, the Kodiak Island Borough, has pursuant thereto ado
Chapter Five (5) of its Cade of Ordinances and Resolutions, which provides
for planning and zoning provisions and

WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive plan adopted by the Kodiak
Island Borough, Lots One (1) through Sixteen (16), Block
East Addition and Thirty-Six (36),
Lots One (1) through Sixteen (16), Block Forty -Four (44),
East Addition, are zoned R-1, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has been petitioned by Gunnar H.
Andersen, N. C. - Sutliff; Decor
Dyson, Herman T. Beakers, Antrjl Suydam, the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
Day Saints, Dennis Knagin, Francis A. Joiner,
and Mts. Henry Sanguinette, the owners of the majority of the property above
described, for a reclassification of that property from R -1 to R and
WHEREAS, the proposed reclassification has been approved by the
Planning and Zoning Commission on Cctcber 30, 1968, and said reclassification
has been recommended to the Assembly, and the Assembly being fully advised
in the premises and believing it to be in the best interests of good planning
and proper zoning procedures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Borough Assembly of the Kodiak
Island Borough that Lots One (1) thtiough Sixteen (16) , Block Thirty -Six (36) ,
East Addition, and Lots One (1) through Sixteen (16), Block Forty -Four (44),
East Addition, now classified R-1, be

second reading of this ordinance,
