FY1966-10 Zoning Ordinance for Thorsheim Subdivision, Kodiak TownsiteKODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
AMENDED ORDINANCE NUMBER 66 -10 -0
WHEREAS, Section 07.15.340, Alaska Statutes, empowers
the BOROUGH to enact a zoning ordinance and provide for its admin-
istration, enforcement and amendment, and;
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has pursuant theret
adopted Ordinance No. 64 -5, and,
WHEREAS, Section 23 of Ordinance No. 64 -5 provides
that the BOROUGH ASSEMBLY may by ordinance amend, supplement, mod-
ify, repeal or otherwise change the zoning regulations and boundar
ies of districts, and,
WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive plan adopted
by the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, Lots One (1) through Seven (7) of
the Thorsheim Subdivision of Lot Eighteen (18) of Block Sixteen
(16) of the Kodiak Townsite, and Lot One (1), Block Fifteen (15)
of the Kodiak Townsite are now classified as R -3, and,
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH has been petitioned
by STAN THORSHEIM for a reclassification of Lots One (1) through
Seven (7), Thorsheim Subdivision, of the Subdivision of Lot Eight-
een (18), Block Sixteen (16), Kodiak Townsite, from R -1 to busines
and for a reclassification of Lot One (1), Block Fifteen (15),
Kodiak Townsite, from R -1 to R -3, and the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
has considered the Petition and held a public hearing on the same
on the 19th day of May, 1966, at which time the Petitioner request
ed that the Petition be amended to exclude Lot One (1), Block
Fifteen (15), Kodiak Townsite, from R -1 to R -3.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
of the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH that Lots One (1) through Seven (7),
of the Thorsheim Subdivision of the Subdivision of Lot Eighteen
(18), Block Sixteen (16), Kodiak Townsite, now classified as R -1,
be and the same is hereby reclassified as business and that

publication of this ordinance be made by posting a copy hereof on
the Borough Assembly bulletin board for a period of ten (10) days
following its passage and approval and publishing a resume' hereof
in the Kodiak Mirror and mailing a copy of the same to the Kodiak
Mirror.
