Request a Conditional Use Permit for a Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit. The Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission at their meeting on April 19, 2023, moved to grant approval of the Conditional Use Permit, 23-016, noted above. The approval is subject to the following conditions: THIS APPROVAL DOES NOT ALLOW ANY CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN. Zoning compliance and/or a building permit must first be obtained, if applicable. An approved conditional use permit must be permitted within a two-year period to be valid. Please contact this office for further details. CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL (KIBC 17.200.060) 1. Applicant must provide walking access to the ADU from the existing driveway, which access onto the patted Noch Drive Road as access to the proposed new driveway over Coast Guard property does not comply with KIBC 17.160.070 D 3, KIBC 17.160.070 D 8, and KIBC 17.160.070 D 10. 2. The Applicant must provide documentation of water and wastewater disposal approved by ADEC (KIBC 17.160.070.D.4), to Community Development.
