AN ORDINANCE OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH AMENDING
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE TITLE 3 REVENUE AND FINANCE, CHAPTER 35 REAL
PROPERTY TAX, SECTION 3.35.050 BOARD OF EQUALIZATION TO CORRECT PHRASING
PERTAINING TO DOCKET NUMBERS
WHEREAS, the phrasing of KIBC 3.35.050(E)(3) referring to a docket number for an appeal
may be confusing to some appellants and also to the Board of Equalization (BOE) members; and
WHEREAS, the use of an appeal number is sufficient, and eliminating the reference to a docket
number will reduce confusion both for the appellants and BOE members during the hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that:
Section 1: This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature and shall become a part of the
Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances.
Section 2: That Section 3.35.050(E)(3) of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances is
amended to read as follow:
Appeal Number. Every appeal shall be assigned A dAGket an appeal number which,
along with the name of the appellant, shall be read into the record before hearings on
the appeal may commence.
Effective Date: This ordinance takes effect upon adoption.
