RESOLUTION NO. FY2022-07
A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH APPROVING
THE HIRE OF AN ASSOCIATE PLANNER IN THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DEPARTMENT AT STEP F, RANGE 20.5 OF KIBC SALARY SCHEDULE AND APPROVING
RELOCATION EXPENSE.
WHEREAS, the Borough Manager is the hiring authority for Borough staff; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Manager has selected an applicant for the position of Associate
Planner and has entered into negotiations; and
WHEREAS, candidate Maloney is requesting and qualified for a salary rate of Step F
($36.83/hr.) which is above the Manager's authority of Step C ($34.20) to grant as well as
relocation expense in accordance with the Kodiak Island Borough Personnel Manual which is
equivalent to an amount up to one month's salary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that:
The Borough Manager is authorized to hire candidate Maloney at range 20.5 step F of the salary
schedule and further authorizes the payment of relocation expense as provided for in the
personnel manual.
