Thank you for sending the report so quickly!
The McDonalds project is updating interior dining/restroom surfaces & siding. No Asbestos or load bearing walls will be
disturbed. The EPA does not require a 10 Day Notice for tis project.
As the removal work progresses, if any untested material should be uncovered, stop work and have a sample tested
before removal.
EPA TSCA Lead -Based Paint Regulations do not apply to Commercial Projects. RCRA has lead disposal requirements,
your hauler should take care of a TLCP test if required.
OSHA has worker safety requirements. OSHA's limit for lead in dust is "any detectable"

As requested, attached is the Hazmat Report from August 29, 2019.
- Correct, no load bearing walls will be affected and to remain as is — not part of project scope.
- There were trace amounts of asbestos in the penetrations of two particular roof vents, which we are NOT
touching.
- No lead paint detected.
- Kitchen is to remain as is, not part of project scope.
- Removing existing siding and replacing it with lap siding made of fiber cement.
If you require any further information or drawings, let us know.
Based on the report and scope of work as noted above, will EPA be required for our project?

Re -sending in case my earlier response did not go through.
For a renovation, you are correct that if there is no asbestos found, then no notice is required.
They have to do a thorough survey for asbestos and not just assume it's asbestos -free (sometimes people are
wrong).
Also, it's important to verify if any walls taken out are load -bearing. The removal of a load -bearing wall is
considered a "demolition" under the asbestos NESHAP and a notice would be required even if no asbestos is
found.

called about Asbestos and Lead requirements to remodel the Kodiak McDonalds. She
will check if they are disturbing any load bearing walls, she does not think they are.
asked for a Hazardous materials survey, to show no asbestos or lead.
As I remember McDonalds, it's prefab., no painted surfaces. The kitchen might have
asbestos but if its only a renovation, no load bearing walls being moved, then no notice
is required, right?
