KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
ORDINANCE NO. FY2021-01E
AN ORDINANCE OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. FY2021-01, FISCAL YEAR 2021 BUDGET, BY AMENDING BUDGETS TO
ACCOUNT FOR VARIOUS REVENUES THAT ARE OVER BUDGET, PROVIDING FOR
ADDITIONAL EXPENDITURES AND MOVING FUNDS BETWEEN PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, staff requests a transfer of $45,000 from the Fire Protection Area #1 (FPA#1) fund
to a capital project fund for the FPA#1 Exterior Improvement project; and
WHEREAS, staff requests to reallocate $21,000 from the Capital Project KFRC (Kodiak
Fisheries Research Center) Fund — KFRC Electric Boiler project to the Capital Project Renewal
& Replacement Fund — KHS (Kodiak High School) Electric Boiler project. This project is
reimbursed by KEA (Kodiak Electric Association); and
WHEREAS, staff requests a transfer of $85,000 from the Solid Waste Collection & Disposal
fund to a capital project fund for the Baler Building UST (Underground Storage Tank)
Removal/Replacement project; and
WHEREAS, staff requests a transfer of $115,000 from the Hospital fund to a capital project
fund; $30,000 for the PKIMC (Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center) New Fuel Tank project
and $85,000 for the PKIMC Retaining Wall project; and
WHEREAS, staff requests a transfer of $120,000 from KFRC (Kodiak Fisheries Research
Center) fund to a capital project fund for the Fume Hood project; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that:
Section 1: This ordinance is NOT of permanent nature and shall NOT become a part of the
Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances.
Section 2: Fund 250 FPA#1 will transfer $45,000 to Fund 450 Capital Projects — Project #19009
FPA #1 Exterior Improvements project.
Section 3: Fund 428 Capital Projects — Project #19002 KFRC Boiler project will reallocate
$21,000 to Fund 469 Renewal & Replacement Projects — KHS Electric Boiler.

Section 4: Fund 530 Solid Waste Collection and Disposal fund will transfer $85,000 to Fund 490
Capital Projects — Project #18005 Baler Building UST Removal/Replacement.
Section 5: Fund 540 Hospital fund will transfer $115,000 to Fund 495 Capital Project fund:
• $30,000 to #20001 — PKIMC New Fuel Tank
$85,000 to #20003 - PKIMC Retaining Wall
Section 8: Fund 555 KFRC will transfer $120,000 to Fund 428 Capital Projects —Project #21001
KFRC Fume Hoods.
Section 7: The amounts listed in sections 2 through 5 of this ordinance are hereby appropriate
for the purposes stated
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance takes effect upon adoption.
