Although additional items not listed on the work session agenda are discussed when intr oduced by the Mayor, Assembly, or staff, no formal action is taken at work sessions and items that require formal Assembly action are placed on regular Assembly meeting agenda. Citizen’s comments at work sessions are NOT considered part of the official record. Citizen’s comments intended for the “official record” should be made at a regular Assembly meeting. Page 1. This was compounded by failure of one of the influent pumps. KIB intends to avoid future bypass of the LTP by implementing the following: Stage 3 closure and interim landfill closure of the top deck to reduce volume of leachate Inspection and chemical cleaning of the membranes to maintain performance Additional leachate storage available via temporary storage tanks Maintenance of spare influent pumps KIB intends to construct a second leachate storage lagoon when Cell 2 of the lateral expansion is opened.AGENDA ITEM #2.b.Staff Update On KIB Landfill and Leachate Regulations and Violations.Page 17 of 17 KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH Meeting Type: _ w mbw Wjry, 9scS-,, r1 Date: q I2q /2ozo Please PRINT your name legibly Please PRINT your name legibly
