KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH SPECIAL MEETING - January 20, 1983

I CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Herrnsteen called the meeting to order at 6:40 PM in the
Borough Assembly Chambers.

Mr. Murray
Mr. Peotter

III ITEMS OF BUSINESS
A. Resolution No. 83-14-R Ratifying & Confirming Results of
the January 11, 1983 Special Election.
Mr. White moved to adopt Res. No. 83-14-R. Seconded by
Mr. Peotter. Mayor Herrnsteen read the memo from the Clerk.
Mr. Peotter moved to count the six (6) Questioned ballots
and the five (5) Absentee ballots. Seconded by Mr. Arndt.
Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
Mr. Peotter moved to not count one Questioned ballot, cast
by Sandra Thummel, Not Registered and two Absentee ballots,
cast by Marty Hamaker and Dave Hamaker, both Not Registered.
Seconded by Mr. Arndt. Motion carried by unanimous voice
vote.
Mr. White moved to amend Resolution No. 83-14-R to read,
"36 YES votes and 7 NO votes". Seconded by Mr. Peotter.
Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
Main motion as amended carried unanimously by voice vote.
B. Appointment of five members to the Service District.
Mayor Herrnsteen appointed the following people to serve
on the Service District Board until the next regular elec-
tion.
1. Mike Killen
2. Steve Tolton
3. Roger Bl.ackett
4. Paul Stubbe
5. Shawn Dillon
Mr. White moved to ratify the appointments. Seconded by
Mr. Peotter. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
Mayor Herrnsteen thanked Mr. Bill Swearingin for his interest
and encouraged him to attend the meetings.
Mr. Murray moved to adjourn. Seconded by Mr. Arndt. Mayor
Herrnsteen adjourned the meeting at 6:47 PM.
