KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH SPECIAL ASSEMBLY MEETING - JANUARY 22, 1980

I CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Betty J. Wallin at 6:50 P.M.

Mr. David Herrnsteen Mr. Patrick Cannon (excused) Out-of-town
Mr. Dan Ogg Mr. Edward Jack (unexcused) Fishing
Mr. James Peotter
Mrs. Betty J. Wallin
Mr. Ogg rendered one objection to Mr. Jack's being excused, therefore, Mayor
Wallin so ordered that he be unexcused.
III ITEMS OF BUSINESS
1. Resolution No. 80-4-R, requesting Governor Jay Hammond and the Alaska
State Legislature to fund the Trident Basin Boat Harbor, Near Island
Bridge and furthermore placing these projects as our top priority.
Mr. Herrnsteen moved for adoption of Resolution No 80-4-R Seconded
by Mr. Hansen. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote
2. Resolution No. 80-5-R, exempting Kodiak Island Borough from the Alaska
Public Employment Act. Mr. Hansen moved for adoption of Resolution
No. 80-5-R. Seconded by Mr. Ogg. Motion carried by unanimous roll
call vote.
3. Resolution No. 80-6-R, a resolution to Governor Jay Hammond regarding
OCS. Mr. Hansen moved for adoption of Resolution No 80-6-R Seconded

Ugg. The reason for the change was to accomodate members of the assembly
wishing to attend the OCS hearings in Anchorage on the 7th and that the
Manager would not be in town on that date. Motion carried by unanimous
roll call vote.
IV ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned by Mayor Wallin at 7:05 P.M.
