Teleconference
May 14, 2020
A special meeting of the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly was held on May 14, 2020, via
teleconference. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.
Present via teleconference were Mayor Bill Roberts, Assembly members Scott Arndt, Julie
Kavanaugh, Andy Schroeder, Rebecca Skinner, Duane Dvorak, and James Turner. Also
present were Borough Manager Michael Powers, Borough Clerk Tara Welinsky and Assistant
Clerk Lina Cruz.
ATTENDANCE BY ROLL CALL: Arndt, Dvorak, Kavanaugh, Schroeder, Skinner, and Turner.
Clerks Note: Assembly Members Turner and Arndt joined the meeting late due to technical
difficulties with Zoom.
KAVANAUGH moved to excuse Assembly member Symmons who was absent due to personal
reasons.
ROLL CALL VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY: Dvorak, Kavanaugh, Schroeder,
Skinner. Turner. and Arndt.

CONSIDERATION OF MATTERS IN THE CALL FOR THE SPECIAL MEETING
1. Public Hearing — Ordinance No. FY 2020-19 Amending Kodiak Island Borough Code
Section 2.30.020, General Rules.
DVORAK moved to adopt Ordinance No. FY2020-19 Amending Kodiak Island Borough Code
Section 2.30.020. General Rules.
Mayor Roberts opened the public hearing.

Mayor Roberts closed the public hearing and reconvened the meeting.
KAVANAUGH moved to amend Ordinance No. FY2019 by introducing Version 2.
ROLL CALL VOTE ON MOTION AS AMENDED CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY: Kavanaugh,
Schroeder, Skinner, Turner, Arndt, and Dvorak.

ADJOURNMENT
ARNDT moved to adjourn the meeting.
ADJOURNMENT BY ROLL: Skinner, Turner, Arndt, Dvorak, Kavanaugh, and Schroeder.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
