RESOLUTION NO. FY2020-02A
A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH REVISING THE
FEE SCHEDULE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH:
WHEREAS, in the course of regular business it became apparent that advertised fees for
animal impoundment were not in the fee schedule; and
WHEREAS, further investigation revealed certain fees in Title 6: Animals were no longer
relevant; and
WHEREAS, KIBC 6.04.100.6 allows for the impoundment of a dog or other animal that is
unrestrained and not under the immediate control of its owner; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough should be able to recuperate costs associated with the
impoundment of such animals; and
WHEREAS, it is recognized that if a service or program benefits only a select individual or group
of individuals, those individuals or group of individuals should pay for the service; and
WHEREAS, fees must be adopted annually; and
WHEREAS, staff has recommended changes to the current fee schedule for fiscal year 2020
as show on the attached exhibit; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that
Section 1: The attached fee amendment shall be added to the existing FY2020 schedule of fees
and shall become effective upon adoption
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH that
ADOPTED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
