A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RATIFYING AND
CERTIFYING THE RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON OCTOBER 1, 2019
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough held a Regular Election on October 1, at which time
candidates for the following offices were voted on:

Fire Protection Area No. 1 Board

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH THAT the Assembly finds that the Municipal Election of October 1, 2019, was validly
held and hereby ratifies and certifies the results of the election:
Section 1: In the Borough -wide election for Mayor, Bill Roberts, was elected to a three year
term.
Section 1: In the Borough -wide election for Assembly, Duane Dvorak, and Scott Arndt were
elected to three year terms each.
Section 2: In the Borough -wide election for Borough School Board, Julie Cain Hill was
elected to a three year term.
Section 3: In the Bay View Road Service Area, Jim Carmichael, was elected to a three year
term.
Section 4: In the Fire Protection Area No. 1, Mike Dolph was elected to a three year term.

Section 5: In the Monashka Bay Road Service Area, Thomas Lance was elected to a three
yearterm.
Section 6: In the Service Area No. 1, Craig DeHart and Dennis Summons were elected to
three year terms each.
Section 7: In the Womens Bay Service Area Board, Jason Chandler and Christopher
Windnagle were elected to three year terms each.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK
ISLAND BOROUGH THAT the election was validly held and that the clerk is directed to deliver
to each person elected to office a certificate of election.
