RESOLUTION NO. FY2019-24
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY APPROVING FUNDING
OF THE KODIAK SALMON WORK GROUP FOR FISCAL YEAR 2019
WHEREAS, fisheries are integral part of the economy of Kodiak; and
WHEREAS, Kodiak Island Borough has a long history of supporting the fishing industry as part
of its economic development efforts; and
WHEREAS, there has been and will be an effort to change regulations that will have negative
impacts on the salmon fishery; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Salmon Work Group has been formed to address the potential changes
that would negatively impact the fishery in Kodiak; and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Salmon Work Group is seeking funding from the Borough to assist in its
efforts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that:
Section 1:
Funding from Borough will be in the amount of $20,000.00 for Fiscal Year 2019 (fund
100.160.430.140)
