Assembly Special Meeting
March 11, 2019
A special meeting of the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly was held on March 11, 2019, in the
Borough Conference Room of the Kodiak Island Borough Building, 710 Mill Bay Road. The
meeting was called to order at 12:00 p.m.
Present were Mayor Dan Rohrer, Assembly members Scott Arndt, Rebecca Skinner, Scott
Smiley, Dennis Symmons, and James Turner. Also present were Borough Manager Michael
Powers, and Assistant Clerk Karen Siador.
SYMMONS moved to excuse Assembly members Schroeder and Kavanaugh who were absent
due to personal leave.
VOICE VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
CITIZENS COMMENTS
None.
CONSIDERATION OF MATTERS IN THE CALL FOR THE SPECIAL MEETING
1. Contract No. FY2019-21 Kodiak Island Borough Clerk Employment Agreement With
Tara Welinsky.
SKINNER moved to adopt Contract No. FY2019-21 Kodiak Island Borough Clerk Employment
Agreement with Tara Welinsky.
ROLL CALL VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY: Arndt, Skinner, Smiley,
Symmons, and Turner.
ADJOURNMENT
ARNDT moved to adjourn the meeting.
VOICE VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:08 p.m.
