Absent was Bobby Bassham. Ex -officio members present was Corey Gronn. Absent ex -officio members were Dennis Symmons and Ron Bryant. A quorum was established. Community Development Department staff present was Sara Fraser and Daniel Mckenna-Foster. APPROVAL OF AGENDA COMMITTEE MEMBER MILLSTEIN MOVED the agenda as submitted. COMMITTEE MEMBER MILLSTEIN MOVED to amend the motion that he made by adding an item to talk about the current meeting going on at the borough work session. CIP List: Ready by May 2019 Discussion D Alaska Transportation Alternatives Program: Drafting a Memorandum to the Assembly Discussion COMMITTEE MEMBER MILLSTEIN MOVED to support for purposes of ATAP monies we prioritized the path to town to Deadman's Curve, the pedestrian/bike path and bear viewing project idea out in Womens Bay and Safe Routes to School. ROLL CALL VOTE CARRIED 6-0 E. Near Island Discussion of the City of Kodiak approving the Near Island Plan. COMMUNICATIONS A. November 7, 2018 Borough Lands Committee Agenda Discussion B. P&Z November and December 2018 Regular Meeting Agendas Discussion COMMITTEE MEMBER JOHNSON MOVED to accept communications. VOICE VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED 6-0 REPORTS A. Meeting Schedule: • January 22, 2019 Parks & Recreation Committee meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the KIB Conference Room COMMITTEE MEMBER JOHNSON MOVED to accept reports. VOICE VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED 6-0 AUDIENCE COMMENTS ? said he will send out what he found to everyone. Last weekend he walked Nimitz Park to the entry to the Coast Guard Base. The trail is 2.5 miles long, technically 73% of it is done, .6 miles of trail to do. COMMITTEE MEMBER'S COMMENTS Helm Johnson said we touched on government impact, funding for recreational facilities that is city, state, or borough owned, that the military will actually grant funding for if their personnel are getting more usage in that and funding streaming through that (inaudible) has been tapped. It can probably go right along ATAP with that same trail that Eric spoke of. ADJOURNMENT COMMITTEE MEMBER JOHNSON MOVED to adjourn.
