KIBC 2.25.070.... the Chair shall cause the record to reflect the absence of the member,
the REASON for the absence, and whether the absence is excused by the Assembly.
Recommended motion: Move to excuse Assembly member who is absent
due to personal leave.
VOICE VOTE ON MOTION.
CITIZENS' COMMENTS (These are limited to three minutes per speaker.)
ASK SPEAKERS TO SIGN IN AND STATE THEIR NAME FOR THE RECORD.
CONSIDERATION OF MATTERS IN THE CALL FOR THE SPECIAL MEETING
A. EXECUTIVE SESSION — Discussion of Borough Clerk Applicants Determining Those Who
Should Move forward for an interview.
Recommended motion: Move to convene into an executive session to
discuss evaluation of the Borough Clerk applicants, a matter which might
include a discussion that could potentially prejudice the reputation and
character of the applicants.
Staff Report — Manager Powers.
Assembly discussion.
ROLL CALL VOTE ON MOTION.
Recommended motion: Move to invite the Borough Mayor, Assembly,
, and into executive session.
VOICE VOTE ON MOTION.
After the vote, Mayor Rohrer recesses the regular meeting and convenes the
executive session.

Upon returning from the executive session, Mayor Rohrer reconvenes the regular
meeting and announces:
• The Assembly discussed the Borough Clerk applicants and ????
• No action is to be taken as a result of the executive session
• The Assembly may make a motion if necessary. The Assembly must state the
motion and vote outside of executive session.
ROLL CALL VOTE ON ANY MOTION THAT MAY HAVE RESULTED FROM THE
EXECUTIVE SESSION.
4. ADJOURNMENT
Recommended motion: Move to adjourn the meeting.

At Its Special Meeting Of February 12, 2019, The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly Took Action Below. The Next Regular
Meeting Of The Borough Assembly Is Scheduled On Thursday, February 21, 2019, At 6:30 p.m. In The Borough Assembly
Chambers.
CONVENED Into Executive Session To Discuss The Borough Clerk Applications Determining Those
Who Should Move Forward For Interview And Convened Into An Executive Session To Discuss
Evaluation Of The Borough Clerk Applicants, A Matter Which Might Include A Discussion That Could
Potentially Prejudice The Reputation And Character Of The Applicants. INVITED The Borough Mayor
And Assembly Into Executive Session. After The Executive Session, Mayor Rohrer ANNOUNCED The
Assembly Will Be Continuing On With The Hiring Process With A Set Of Skype Interviews Which Will
Be Scheduled On February 15, 2019.
