Assembly Special Meeting
July 12, 2018
A special meeting of the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly was held on July 12, 2018, in the
School District Conference Room of the Kodiak Island Borough Building, 710 Mill Bay Road.
The meeting was called to order at 10:30 p.m.
Present were Mayor Dan Rohrer, Assembly members Julie Kavanaugh, Rebecca Skinner,
Scott Smiley, and Matthew Van Daele. Also present were Borough Manager Michael Powers
and Deputy Clerk Laurie Pardoe.
VAN DAELE moved to excuse Assembly members Crow, Schroeder, and Symmons who were
absent due to personal leave.
VOICE VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
CITIZENS COMMENTS
None.
CONSIDERATION OF MATTERS IN THE CALL FOR THE SPECIAL MEETING
1. Board of Fish Letter Regarding the Chignik Emergency Petition and BBNA Resolution
Regarding Chignik Salmon Run.
VAN DAELE moved to approve a letter to the Board of Fish Regarding the Chignik Emergency
Petition and BBNA Resolution Regarding Chignik Salmon Run.
ROLL CALL VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY: Kavanaugh, Skinner, Smiley, and
Van Daele.
ADJOURNMENT
VAN DAELE moved to adjourn the meeting.
VOICE VOTE ON MOTION TO ADJOURN CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:32 p.m.
