The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly held a special work session on January 4, 2018 in
the Borough Assembly Chambers. One of the items on the agenda is the flooding
mitigation on rivers in Bells Flats.
Below reflects the verbatim direction coming from the Assembly. The audio recording time
stamp is at 1:05 of the work session discussion.
Administrative Official Bill Roberts: Do you want her to continue down that path looking into
the possibilities so that when it all comes about, when Michael comes back, he can give her
direction, to direct or counter -direct what I say. But what I would tell her from what I'm
hearing here tonight is to continue with the process so we have it all ready to go. Is that
what ... I've got enough nods? Got it. Thank you.
Mayor Rohrer: I think the research phase especially. Alright, thank you.
Assembly member Crow: I would like to make that a record of the minutes, the direction to
staff.
Mayor Rohrer: So, Mr. Crow just wants to make sure that the record does reflect that the
manager received nods to go ahead and continue to have staff continue to move forward
on this.
