FY2018-10 A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RECOMMENDING RETENTION OF LOTS 1-4, BLOCK 4 AND TRACT R2, KILLARNEY HILLS SUBDIVISION (P&Z CASE NO. 17-011) WHEREAS, the Resource Management Officer has requested disposal of Lots 11-14, Block 4 and Tract R2, Killarney Hills Subdivision; and WHEREAS, Kodiak Island Borough Code (KIBC) 18.20.030 requires each proposed disposal of Borough land to be reviewed by the Planning & Zoning Commission before submission to the Assembly; and WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission is required under KIBC 18.20.030 to make a recommendation to the Assembly by resolution regarding the proposed land disposal; and WHEREAS, the principal purpose of the Planning & Zoning Commission review is to consider if the land identified is surplus to the Borough's need; and WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has found that the parcels identified for disposal are not surplus to the Borough's need at this time, based on its review; and WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission held a public hearing on August 16, 2017 to consider this land disposal request. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH that the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly, in accordance with Title 18 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code, recommends retention of Lots 11-14, Block 4 and Tract R2, Killarney Hills subdivision.
