CALL TO ORDER
CHAIR SALTONSTALL called to order the March 28, 2017 regular meeting at 6:34 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Committee members present were Patrick Saltonstall, Helm Johnson, Paige Simeonoff
(arrived 6:38 p.m.), Dale Stratton, and Ben Millstein. The excused committee member
was Steve Paulson. Ex -officio members present were Rebecca Skinner and Cory
Gronn. Absent ex -officio members were Ron Bryant and Alan Schmitt.
A quorum was established.
COMMITTEE MEMBER JOHNSON MOVED to excuse Steve Paulson.
VOICE VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
Community Development Department staff present was Tom Quass and Janel Day.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
COMMITTEE MEMBER MILLSTEIN MOVED to approve the agenda.

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS
COMMITTEE MEMBER MILLSTEIN MOVED to approve the minutes as submitted.

OLD BUSINESS
A) KIB Land Disposals (Killarney Hills Tract 2, Sharatin parcel, Salonie Creek

Quass gave an update.

Quass gave an update.
C) Saltery Trail Improvements
Quass gave an update.
D) Trail Summit April 5, 2017 Planning
Quass provided a draft agenda.

Discussion (several conversations at once).
COMMITTEE MEMBER JOHNSON MOVED to add an additional meeting for April 11th
for the sole purpose of the TMO recap in preparation for the April 25th Trails Summit.
No vote taken on this motion.
E) Recreational Trails Program Grant/ORTAB
Quass gave an update.
NEW BUSINESS
A) Committee Members Needed — (Replacement for Sharon Wolkoff and Marnie
Leist)
Quass said we need one more member.
B) Trail Maintenance Funding
Quass said Andy Schroeder was talking about getting funding through the State for
improvements to Saltery.
C) TMO's for Saltery Trail: SMI 0 — SM12
Discussion (several conversations at once). The committee relayed changes to the
TMO's to Janel Day, GIS Analyst.
D) Elections — Chair and Vice -Chair
CHAIR SALTONSTALL opened nominations for Chair.
COMMITTEE MEMBER MILLSTEIN nominated Patrick Saltonstall.
There was no motion to close nominations.
VOICE VOTE CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
CHAIR SALTONSTALL opened nominations for Vice -chair.
COMMITTEE MEMBER JOHNSON nominated Steve Paulson.
COMMITTEE MEMBER MILLSTEIN nominated Helm Johnson.
There was no motion to close nominations.
VOICE VOTE CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

COMMITTEE MEMBER MILLSTEIN MOVED to accept our zero communications.

COMMITTEE MEMBER JOHNSON MOVED to accept reports as amended, a special
meeting on April 11th and another meeting on April 25th that will include the summit.

COMMITTEE MEMBER'S COMMENTS
CHAIR SALTONSTALL reminded the committee this is for comments and not
discussions.
Patrick Saltonstall said he's really looking forward to the Trail Summit because he thinks
this is our first time we can really show people what the TMO's do.
