FY2017-21 Recommending Retention Of Tract A-1, Block 4, Kadiak Alaska Subdivision, 1st Addition (P&Z Case No. 17-003).1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 II 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 Introduced by: Requested by: Drafted by: Introduced: Failed: Borough Assembly Borough Lands Committee CDD 12/01/2016 12/01/2016 A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND ROON RA BOROUG1 ECMMENDING RETENTIOF TCT A -11, BCK 4, KADIA ALASKA SUBDIVISION, 1ST ADDITION (P & Z CASE NO. 17-003) WHEREAS, the Borough Lands Committee has requested disposal of Tract A-1, Block 4, Kadiak Alaska Subdivision, 1 " Addition; and WHEREAS, Kodiak Island Borough Code (KIRC) 18.20.030 requires each proposed disposal of Borough land to be reviewed by the Planning & Zoning Commission before submission to the Assembly; and WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission is required under KIBC 18.20,030 to make a recommendation to the Assembly by resolution regarding the proposed land disposal; and WHEREAS, the principal purpose of the Planning & Zoning Commission review is to consider if the land identified is surplus to the Borough's need; and WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has found that the parcel identified for disposal is not surplus to the public's need based on its review; and WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission held a public hearing on August 17, 2016 to consider the land disposal request; WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission, based on public testimony, postponed this case to the September 21, 2016 regular meeting to allow for more public input; WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission held a public hearing on September 21, 2016 to consider this land disposal request. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH THAT: Section '1: The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly, in accordance with Title 18 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code, recommends retention of Tract A-11, Block 4, Kadiak Alaska Subdivision, l't Addition. Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska ResoIution No. FY2017-21 Page 1 of 2 Section 2: The Kodiak Island Borough Planning & Zoning Commission, in accordance with Title 18 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code, has determined, after public hearings on August 17, 2016 and September 21, 2016, that the aforementioned property is not surplus to the public's need. Section 3: The aforementioned property should not be offered for sale.
