YA considers that the typical life expectancy of the building is 40 to 50 years, and the effective age is 25 years based on construction in 1990 and normal maintenance. The total estimated depreciation amount is $50,710 based on the RCV Estimate total of $383,877. Please reference the enclosed YA Preliminary Detailed RCV & ACV Estimate for specifics of the scope of work and estimated costs. Page 17 of 35 Chiniak Tsunami Center AGENDA ITEM #2.b. Living in a semkremote area on the island I bring the perspective of an under -represented section of our community. As a citizen, I attend most of the Assembly work sessions and regular meetings and as such have a working knowledge of the rules of order and the various issues that the Assembly is currently faced with on behalf or the community. I also attend the LEPC meetings and have submitted my prerequisite certifications to be able to attend upcoming ICS advanced leadership training. There is a strong need in our community for more bench strength in the area of incident management and I feel that should start with community leaders. I'm a strong believer in the parliamentary process and appreciate that the current members of the assembly value a good debate. I appreciate the fact that if selected to be on the Assembly that I'll be serving with people who take the time to develop coherent arguments around Issues so that I'll have varied information and viewpoints on which to make Informed decisions. Conversely I appreciate that the members of this assembly are willing to listen to varying viewpoints and change their Initial position if compelling reasons are presented to do so. I feel that the publics' increased interest and involvement challenges the Assembly to be the absolute best at fulfilling their duties and I welcome that challenge if selected. Additionally I have some ideas about further increasing the level of participation from the public. While my political views tend toward the conservative (low taxes, small government, traditional social values) I believe common sense needs to be applied to all decisions and every decision should be made based on the unique facts of each particular case as opposed to party line criteria.
