10 A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
11 BOROUGH APPROVING THE VILLAGE OF KARLUK AND KARLUK
12 IRA TRIBAL COUNCIL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FY2017
13 COMMUNITY REVENUE SHARING PROGRAM

15 WHEREAS, AS29.60.865 and AAC 180.070 require the Borough Assembly to adopt a
16 resolution identifying those unincorporated communities located within its municipal boundaries
17 that meet the Community Revenue Sharing Program eligibility criteria established under AS
18 29.60.8651 AS 29.60.879, and # AAC 180.110; and
19
20 WHEREAS, Karluk has an IRA Tribal Council that agrees to receive and spend the
21 community Revenue Sharing Payment for the public benefit; and
22
23 WHEREAS, Karluk has 25 or more residents residing as a social unit; and
24
25 WHEREAS, Karluk provides fire protection, emergency medical response, water and sewer,
26 solid waste management, and public road maintenance.

28 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
29 BOROUGH that the Kodiak Island Borough, by this resolution, hereby certifies that the Village
30 of Karluk, through the Karluk IRA Tribal Council, is eligible for funding under the FY2017
31 Community Revenue Sharing Program.
