Please be advised that on February 16, 1983 an inspection of
the above referenced property was made by John Sullivan
City Building Inspector and myself regarding your concern
about a possible zoning violation occurring onthis property.
The outcome of our inspection resulted in the following
actions being taken:
1. A notice of violation was issued to the occupants
of the trailer located on the property for violations of
City of Kodiak Codes; and
2. The existing wood frame structures were determined
to be "grandfatheree, as both structures existed prior to
June 5, 1980, according to Borough Assessing Department
records.
In brief, because both of these structures were being utilized
as dwelling units prior to June 5, 1980, they may continue to
be used as such and are deemed legal non -conforming uses per
Kodiak Island Borough Ordinance 80-24-0.
Therefore the only violations occurring are violations of the
State Sanitary Codes and the use of a mobile home as a resid-
ent within the corporate boundaries of the City of Kodiak.
