A. An application for zoning compliance will be filed with the community
development department on a form provided by the department. If the application
meets the requirements of this title, as verified in the department, and other applicable

regulations, a permit will be issued. An as built of the property may be required to
ensure that applicable requirements can be met, when existing structures are located
on the property. Any zoning compliance permit issued is subject to the same expiration,
suspension, and revocation provisions as a building permit issued for the same
construction project (See Uniform Building Code 303(d) and (e), as currently adopted
under section 15.02.020 of this code).
For the purpose of administrative process, we must advise you of a thirty (30) day
deadline to contact the Community Development Department and obtain the required
permits. Failure to obtain the required permits by September 264 2008, will result in the
issuance of a formal notice of violation, with consequent legal ramifications accruing to
you, the property owner.
Your recognition of, and attention to, these requirements of the 1oaiak Island Borough
Code are appreciated.
