RE: Dane Larsen Lot 19, pt. 20; Block 14, Kodiak Townsite
With regards to the complaint you received concerning the
above referenced property,. please be advised that the
existing house on the property is a duplex residence and
the property is zoned R-2 Two Family Dwelling.
I called the Larsen residence to determine ifrthe complaint
submitted was valid and was informed by Mrs. Larsen that the
apartment in the basement has always been part of the residence
and is currently vacant as Mr. Larsen is remodeling it.
I checked our records of the City Building Permits issued and
could find no permit issued for this construction activity. I
call.Mr. Morris Lee to verify that no permit was issued and,
requested he look into it as I believe Mr. Larsen's remodel
of the basement might include providing more than one apartment
dwelling. Mr. Lee said he would look into this for us and
determine how many apartments were being provided in the-
basement of the Larsen residence.
