See attached letter dated January 12, 1977. I cannot find any evidence of a purchase contract ever being offered to you setting up the payment schedule to ripen into a quitclaim deed. These loose ends need to be tied down as you have paid taxes on the land parcel since that time. I will prepare a land purchase contract to be entered into to accomplish the intended offer; how- ever, some indication was made by persons in..the borough adminis- tration that you may have second thoughts on the purchase. I would like to obtain your clarification as to this expression prior to drafting the contract. This tract is tax foreclosed land. It will be deeded to the City of Kodiak if the purchase agreement is not entered into. There is actually a question as to the authority of a former assembly•to authorize this negotiated sale. You made a $500 down payment on March 1, 1977, and a $209.37 interest payment on April 12, 1979.
