It is my understanding that upon receipt of this bill, the deadline to contest the evaluation has already past. The envelope did not include a postmark. I don't think it's fair that I had no time to contest this bill. Kodiak Borough is taxing me on a value of $130,600. I purchased this property in February for $150,000. This transaction also included a boat, ATV, and a shop complete with tools. These tools included generators, welder, chain saws, trailers, talble saws, cut off saw, drills and a lot more. The real estate includes 10 acres. One 5 acre parcel includes an old cabin that needs to be demolished. The other 5 acre parcel includes 900 square foot living area, a shop, and an unfinished apartment. The tools and every thing that was sold to me is worth at least $50.000 I feel that this tax evaluation is in excess of the actual value of the real estate.
