A complaint was received subsequent to and dn-rel to our conversation June
14, 1989 about'the the seven vehicles, s pparently non-running and most
with expired registrations, which have been stored and/or abandoned for some
time on your residential property referenced above. The concern was with the
eyesore created by deteriorating vehicles left unattended for a long period of
time. There is also a potential hazard created by the discarded batteries
lying about on the property.
This letter confirms your expressed intention to remove the vehicles, which
are not permitted under the Kodiak Island Borough Code section addressing
junkyards (17.06.340). Consistent with standard policy, a twenty-day
compliance period is allowed. Therefore, the deadline established for
clean-up of the property and removal of the vehicles is July 24, 1989.
Your cooperation in taking care of this matter in a timly manner is
