Dear Pastor Emma: The Planning & Zoning Commission, at their regular meeting on November 16, 2011, denied the request referenced above,but found the daycare to be similar in character and impact to a school and granted a Similar Use Determination. Should you disagree with the commission's decision you may appeal: An appeal of this decision may be initiated by; 1) the applicant, or 2) any person who was sent a written notice or submitted timely written comments, by filing a written notice of appeal to the Borough Clerk's Office within ten (10) working days after adoption of the Findings of Fact. The notice of appeal must state the specific grounds for the appeal and the relief sought by the appellant, and accompanied by the $350 appeal fee. Therefore, the decision will not be final and effective until ten (10)working days following the decision. I have inspected the church, both as a Group A-3 assembly and as a Group E daycare. They met all code requirements with the exception of a couple minor infractions which have since been corrected.
