V. Public Comments
Dave Conrad: KIB wishes to route stormwater RO to safe discharge point in Greenbelt;
Martha M: Ditching of road concerns,too much on Forest Drive, and not enough on hill;
Jamie G: Island Circle sign still down;
Andy D:Tree shredded by hoe operator, unprofessional (operator was fired). Dr. Withrow fixed tree!

VII. New Business
1. Guests to talk about composting/landfill update: Lengthy presentations by City of Kodiak staff,
Councilmen, and consultant. They are all in favor of composting. No Action Taken
2. Review of budget: Darlene has to visit KIB to clarify... No Action Taken
3. Prioritizing the road work list: Postpone until we get budget clarification.
4. Louise Stutes -applied to fill open seat on MBRSA Board
• Motion: Advisory vote to approve Louise Stutes be appointed to MBRSA Board by the Kodiak
Island Borough Assembly. By CG_, 2nd by_SS_.
• Motion Passed
5. Discussion on next road contract? Board asked when should we start- Bob Tucker advised to start
in Jan, meet every month, and finish by May. Bob said he will give us calendar with goals.
6. Update on State highway repair of Monashka Bay Rd.
• anybody know when work will be done? ANSWER: Nobody knows ... possible 50% cut in
road funds was rumor.Tucker and Dave Conrad said no news available.
VIII. Public Comments
Louise Stutes: nice meeting, and good to have more info about composting;
Andy D: City visit was good for them, as it shows they have more work to do convincing;
IX. Board Comments
CG: Excited to hear Louise is applying for MBRSA Board. If odor from composting is issue,to Biodry
Plant owners-they are experienced!
SS: Excited to hear Louise is applying for MBRSA Board;Thanks to Dave and others presenting for City,
regarding composting;
TL: Ditto about Louise. KIB and City need to convince us that composting is good as planned.
