34 to construct the Ko `4k High School Addition and Renovation project and has agreed to
35 perform the work for t odiak Middle School in conjunction with the high school project;

38 WHEREAS, the project will be approved as a change order to Contract No. FY2013-24
39 and the expenses will be charged to the Remodel and Renovation Project for Kodiak
40 Middle School Concrete Repairs; and

42 WHEREAS, the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development has agreed to
43 allow the Kodiak Island Borough to award this work as a change order rather than through
Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska Resolution No. FY2014-06

44 a competitive bidding process, but has requested the Borough Assembly approve that
45 process via resolution.

47 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
48 BOROUGH THAT the Manager is authorized to execute a sole source agreement with
49 Watterson Construction Company in the form of a change order to Contract No. 2013-24 to
50 perform Kodiak Middle School Concrete Repairs, with the change order amount to be
51 authorized at a later date.
