We will provide a list based on the AIA contract requirements 024 ARR r1 Y Design team will coordinate exterior openings with original documents- it is reported that a number of original openings have been covered over by subsequent renovations, especially at the voc ed and one story classroom building. They may affect how the layouts occur on sheet A1.4. Overhead door openings not shown occur along grid 9 and HH and likely other areas as well. Page 5 Kodiak Island Borough 2/29/2012 Kodiak High School Addition and Renovation ARB Schematic Review Comments Jensen Yorba Lott, Inc. 027 ARB E T We agree that if the NEC calculated service sizes for the facility had to be provided by KEA, the transformers would be significantly undersized. KEA will provide transformers and feeders to match estimated demand load. For instance the existing facilities were both served by 2000A 208Y /120V equipment or equivalent of 1100 MVA of capactiy, but KEA is serving them with two 300 KVA transformers. The actual loading on the transformers has been about 60% of the installed capacity. From current estimated NEC loads, 208Y /120V services would result too large to manage, so 480Y/277V is recommended. With major equipment loads obtained at the end of DD, well be able to assess the loading. A full report will be prepared with possible recommendations to reduce number of services. The advantage of maintaining separate services allows for continued service of existing electrical systems during construction with short outages during non - school sessions. We will continued to monitor the service sizes and will take every opportunity to reduce equipment Design team was asked to justify the sizes. electrical entrances- there is concern that they may be over served. 02B Landscape scheme was not accepted. ARB Preference is to simplify the design to facilitate snow removal from walks and around plant bed areas. It was also requested to simplify parking lot areas so that snow plows are less inclined to strike projecting curbs.
