Dave Conrad read an email from John Zibitinoff requesting ditch work at his lot. Board
moves item to new business for consideration.
Contactor representatives updated road work in the service area. Calcium Chloride has
been applied to areas required. Cameras have been installed at Brechan pit and a night
watch person is on site. Brechan rep also requested brushing be performed on Mill Bay
road, as tree limbs are causing damage to passing trucks.
Fire Dept. Old Business
T23 engine is repaired and FD is now seeking cost estimates for re- plumbing of tanker.

t=fl4D- grant -money has been approved for the construction of the emergency evacuation
shelter. Dave Conrad handed out one line drawings of proposed structure.
New chainsaw purchase had cost rechecked and purchase Lis pending.
Road Service Old Business
Nixon Ranch survey and road encroachment situation is still unresolved. Service Board
has been waiting on reply and results from the borough. Letter to be drafted for submittal

to borough requesting Jesuit- of this issue as it has been on the books for two years.
Bells Flats road culvert has had the site visit completed, more to follow.
The FEMA preliminary surveys are done for Panamaroff Creek, waiting on further info.

Fire Dept. New Business
Dept. performed a comms test with Aksala. Implemented a temporary repeater on
Nyman's Peninsula and comms improved greatly would like board to consider a
permanent installation.
George Lee moves to expend no more than $ for purchase and installation of

new repeater. Second by Dave H-tman motion passed unanimously.
Dave Conrad explained the dept. needed to purchase new web gear to support the new

wild land fire gear already purchased. Dave Igxcman. mo 'es to expend no more than
$1500.00 for the purchase. Second by Griffin, motion passed unanimously. Dave Conrad
informed the board that new state requirements for firefighter physicals could increase
costs of $700 to $1000.00 per physical. He further discussed using a cooperative
agreement to help and new requirements of minimal participation to help with payback.
Road Service New Business
Board vacancy has one applicant. It is Mr. Brian 1 -lanz. Scott Griffin moves to approve
the applicant, seconded by George Lee and motion passed unanimously.
Board discussed Tsunami zone maps. The borough has a stockpile of evacuation signs.
George Lee moves to approve the map, seconded by Dave Conrad, motion passed
unanimously.
George Lee moved to have the borough have the Peterson property removed from the
road service right of way. This was seconded by Dave Neuman. Motion to then amend
the motion to issue a letter to the borough facilities manager requiring the manager direct
borough staff to finish the work started on this problem two years ago. Amendment
seconded and passed unanimously.
