Guests: Dave Rittenhouse, Kevin Arndt
Citizen's Comments: Dave Rittenhouse stated that drainage across from his driveway
on Kalsin has not been properly addressed. That water jumps the ditch, crosses Kalsin
and enters his property. Exhibited photos showing water in ditches. Kevin Arndt stated
that ditches not deep enough; plans to dig deeper, possibly install swale or hump at
bottom of offending driveway.
OLD BUSINESS:
FIRE DEPARTMENT
(a) Tanker 23 repairs: waiting on quote
(b) Fire Fitting Purchase: purchase made awaiting arrival of items
(c) Assistance to FF grant: still pending
(d) HUD Grant for A &E /Shelter: drawings being made up by Ken Smith
(e) Fire Hall waterline: repaired. Will decide whether or not to replace next year
(f) Map book/GIS: pending
ROAD SERVICE
(a) Nixon Ranch Survey: still waiting on legal description
(b) Snow markers: Kevin Arndt has obtained the markers, not yet installed. Possibly
tomorrow, Dec 8, 2010
(c) October '09 Flood /FEMA update: $60,000 invoiced, hopefully will be paid within 2
months. Gibbs culvert work not yet awarded.
(d) Outstanding Work orders:
1. Kalsin Drainage /Drabek WO #05 -2010 still working on, ditches need to be dug
deeper, possibly done tomorrow, Dec 8, 2010
2. Noch Dr Ditching/Topping WO #07 -2010 done
3. Otter Dr Topping WO #08 -2010 done but wash boarding now
4. Wm Bay Topping WO #09 -2010 done
(f) Log Storage letter /impacts: not the responsibility of the Road Service, warrants
further discussion
(h) Spring emerging at Sargent Ck Rd bend: fixed
NEW BUSINESS
FIRE DEPARTMENT
(1) New Tanker Damage: someone backed into a support post. Need to bring in
someone from the manufacture. Cost to be $1000 after insurance.
(2) Engine 21 pump repair: vacuum line problem, no high idle, currently investigating the
problem
(3) pond hydrant: need to cut down some trees to facilitate getting the pumper to the
hydrant more efficiently.
ROAD SERVICE
(a) Noch Drive: discussed possibly conducting a drainage survey /study, and sending
letters to homeowners asking them to put in culverts.
BOARD MEMBERS COMMENTS
Conrad: $5200 was saved last year on oil due to installation of new boiler in fire station.
