2000-20 Transfer of Borough PropertyKODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUTION NO. 2000 -20 Introduced by: Manager Jensen Requested by: Manager Jensen Drafted by: Manager Jensen Introduced: July 20, 2000 Adopted: July 20, 2000 A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH PROPERTY ACQUIRED UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT "$1 HOME SALES PROGRAM TO LOCAL GOVERNMENTS" AS A SPECIFIC PURPOSE TO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY (PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1563 THREE SISTERS WAY) WHEREAS, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development seeks to expand partnerships with local governments in helping to foster housing opportunities for low to moderate income families and has created the "$1 Home Sales Program to Local Governments "; and WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough desires to assist Habitat for Humanity, a non- profit organization providing affordable first time home ownership to low and moderate income people; and WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough may receive the property located at 1563 Three Sisters under the HUD program for One (1) dollar and quitclaim subject to Habitat for Humanity complying with all federal, state, and local laws; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH that the Kodiak Island Borough will quitclaim subject property to Habitat for Humanity. The Kodiak Island Borough will realize no profit in said transfer, and will release any Kodiak Island Borough liens on subject property at time of executing quitclaim to Habitat for Humanity.
