2000-11-21 Special MeetingKODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH Special Assembly Meeting November 21, 2000 A special meeting of the Kodiak Island Borough SPECIAL MEETING Assembly was held November 21, 2000 in the Borough conference room of the Kodiak Island Borough Building, 710 Mill Bay Road. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. There were present: Mayor: Gary L. Stevens Assemblymembers: Tom Abell Greg Razo Pat Branson Darlene Turner Robin Heinrichs Wayne Stevens (arrived at 8:55 p.m.) Absent: Tuck Bonney comprising a quorum of the Assembly; and Dave Jensen, Manager Judi Nielsen, Borough Clerk BRANSON, moved to excuse seconded by HEINRICHS Assemblymembers Tuck Bonney and Wayne Stevens. VOTE ON MOTION TO EXCUSE MOTION CARRIED Unanimous voice vote CONSIDERATION OF MATTERS FOR THE SPECIAL MEETING A. EXECUTIVE SESSION HEINRICHS, seconded by BRANSON Special Assembly Meeting November 21, 2000 moved to convene into executive session to discuss Pending Litigation with A -K Construction, Collective Bargaining Agreement, and Pending Litigation on Jane Doe vs. The Kodiak Island Borough. ROLL CALL CONSIDERATION OF MATTERS FOR THE SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION Volume XXVI Page 166 ROLL CALL VOTE ON MOTION Ayes: Noes: Absent: MOTION CARRIED Abell, Branson, Heinrichs, Razo, Turner None Bonney, Stevens Unanimous Mayor Stevens recessed the special meeting into executive session and invited Manager Jensen and Clerk Nielsen to join the executive session. He invited attorney Walt Ebell to join the executive session for discussion on Pending Litigation with A -K Construction only. PENDING 1. Pending Litigation with A -K Construction. LITITATION WITH A -K CONSTRUCTION At 8:55 p.m. Mayor Stevens recessed the executive session and excused Mr. Ebell. After a five minutes recess, Mayor Stevens reconvened the executive session. COLLECTIVE 2. Collective Bargaining Agreement. BARGAINING AGREEMENT At 9:25 p.m. Mayor Stevens recessed the executive session and excused Assemblymember Razo. After a five minute recess, Mayor Stevens reconvened the executive session. JANE DOE vs THE 3. Pending Litigation on Jane Doe vs. The Kodiak KODIAK ISLAND Island Borough. BOROUGH At 9:43 Mayor Stevens reconvened the special meeting and announced that no action would be taken as a result of the executive session.
