1984-126 Approving The Kodiak Island Hospital Operating Budget For Calendar Year 1985.1
KOOIAK ISLAND BOROUGH
RESOLUTION NO. 84 -126 -R
A RESOLUTION OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY APPROVING THE
KODIAK ISLAND HOSPITAL OPERATING BUDGET FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1985.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Code Section 8.04.030 provides
that the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly shall formally approve or disapprove
the Kodiak Island Hospital budget at the December meeting, and
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Hospital Advisory Board has
!submitted the Calendar Year 1985 operating budget, and
WHEREAS, the budget as presented projects a net operating loss in
;excess of $1,000,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly;
;approves the Kodiak Island Hospital Calendar Year 1985 operating budget as
'presented subject to the following conditions:
1. Total expenditures not to exceed $5,155,193;
2. Delay of purchase of any non- critical equipment on the $130,000
equipment list until after the 1985 legislative session is complete
and any hospital appropriation is known;
3. Use the existing bank balance with Lutheran Hospital and Homes
Society to pay for any monthly operating losses through June, 1985;
4. Review the hospital financial report in April and May, 1985 for
consideration of a Borough subsidy during FY 86; and
5. Encourage the Kodiak Island Borough Hospital Advisory Board and the
Hospital Administrator to do everything possible to reduce expenses
but not to reduce quality of care or services offered.
