1967-34 Reestablishing An Area Redevelopment committee And Confirming The Appointment Of Members Thereto.1 KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUTION NUMBER 67 -34 -R COMMITTEE AND A CONFIRMING NTHE APPOINTMENT GOFN EMBE REDEVELOPMENT MEhIBE RS THERETO. WHEREAS, the development of the State of Alaska and particularly the Kodiak Island area and Electoral District No. 13 is a matter of particular concern to the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly and WHEREAS, the future development of the Kodiak area is dependent upon the expansion of existing industries and development of new industries based upon the resources of the S and Electoral District No, 13 and tate of Alaska I I WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly desires to 'I cooperate with individuals and croups so that these objectives may be achieved and I more WHEREAS, it is desirable that that certain organizat now in existence known as the Kodiak Area Development Corporation be reactivated and to that ends that a Kcdiak Area and Planning Committee be reinstated and WHEREAS, to that end the Chairman of the Kodiak following individuals Development Borough has submitted the names of the serve as members on such committee with committee shall interested Economic Island; to the understanding that such be enlarged by placing the names thereon of other I persons from all areas of the Borough. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: Section 1: That there be and I an Area Redevelopment Committee to be known h as e 1 theKodiak Economic Development and Planning Committee consisting of such members or persons as the Chairman shall l seect II ° "" ` and the assembly shall confirm and such other interested persons from all areas of the Borough who may indicate a d desire to serve thereon. Page One, RESOLUTION NO. 67 -34 -R of Section 2: That the original members of the Kodiak Area Redevelopment and Planning Committee shall be appointed by the Chairman with the advice and consent of the Assembly and shall serve during the existence of this committee or until their succes- sors shall have been appointed and qualified. Section 3: That the Kodiak Area Redevelopment and Planning Committee cooperate with State and Federal authorities and with private individuals and firms toward the general goal of area development. Section 4: That the committee hereby appointed procee immediately toward the execution of its duties and powers and that it submit all its actions to the Assembly for final review and approval. Section 5: That the persons hereinafter named are confirmed as members of the Committee: Richard G.
