ASSISTANCE �. FOR SCHOOL C0NSTRUCION�UNDERAPUBLIC 1815 (81ST CONGRESS)
BE IT RESOLVED BY KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, KODIAK, ALASKA THAT the
construction of a one -story elementary school addition is necessary and in
the public interest should be provided at an early date; and
THAT for the construction of the aforesaid facility it is desired to
obtain financial assistance from the United States of America under P.L. 815
(81st Congress) as amended; and
THAT Ivor A. Schott is hereby authorized to file on behalf of said
school district an application in the form required by the Commissioner of
Education requesting payment by the United States of America of funds to
assist said school district in meeting the cost of constructing said school
facilities; and
THAT the estimated cost of such school facilities is approximately
$325,000; application is authorized to be made to the United States for the
amount of $205,000
and *120,000 in local funds shall be
raised by said school district through sale of school land in urban renewal
project; and
THAT Ivor A. Schott is hereby designated as the authorized representative
of said school district for the purpose of furnishing to the United States
of America such information, data, and documents pertaining to the application
for funds as may be necessary, and otherwise to act as the authorized
representative of said school district in connection with such application; and
THAT certified copies of this resolution be included as a part of the
application for funds to be submitted to the United States of America.

Borough Assembly, Kodiak, Alaska, and custodian of the records of said
Kodiak Island Borough Assembly, including the Journal of proceedings of said

resolution as finally adopted at a meeting of the Kodiak Island
Borough Assembly held on thee! day of

2. That said meeting was duly convened and held in all respects in
accordance with law and, to the extent required by law, due and
proper notice of such meeting was given; that a legal quorum was
present throughout the meeting, and a legally sufficient number
of members of the Borough Assembly voted in the proper manner for
the adoption of said resolution; that all other requirements and
proceedings under the law incident to the proper manner for the
adoption of said resolution, including publication if required,
have been duly fulfilled, carried out, and otherwise observed;
and that I am authorized to execute this certificate.
