RESOLUTION NUMBER 65-35
A Resolution of the BOROUGH ASSEMBLY of the KODIAK ISLAND
WHEREAS, by resolution no. 65 -16, passed and adopted the
second day of September, 1965, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
provided that at the regular election to be held in the KODIAK
ISLAND BOROUGH on Tuesday, the fifth day of October, 1965, for thei
approval or disapproval, the question of whether the KODIAHrISL D

BOROUGH should incur indebtedness in a sum not to exceed SE -HUND
RED FIFTY THOUSAND and No /100ths ($750,000.00) DOLLARS for the pur-
pose of constructing an elementary school building, and,
WHEREAS, the KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY found that ther
were 379 votes cast for the measure and 46 votes cast against the
measux'e, and therefore, ratified and declared that the results of
the School Bond Election were favorable, and,
WHEREAS, it appears that prior to the sale of the Bonds auth-
orim ` may the electors at said election, it will be necessary to
have as opinion issued by Bond Counsel as to the validity of the
proceedings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the firm of PRESTON,
THORGRIMSON, HOROWITZ, STARIN & ELLIS, Attorneys at Law, 2000 IBM
Building, Seattle, Washington, be and they are hereby employed for
the purpose of issuing their opinion as to the validity of the pro-
ceedings relating to the School Bond Issue for the construction of
an elementary school building and that the Borough Attorney be and
he is instructed to present to said attorxgrs a transcript of the
.proceedings relating to said Bond Issue for their approval.
