Noted that Mr.. Haakanson, Mr. Pestrikoff and Mr. Pananax'ff were fishing
and absences were excused.
III ITEMS OF BUSINESS
A. Canvas of the absentee and challenged ballots: The list was read
containing the absentee ballots and challenged ballots float inside the City
of Kodiak. Mr. '•flits roved that t absentee ballots inside the City, that absentee ballot of A. K. Brumbaugh not be accepted, and that the
challenged ballots of Barbara Peterson, Raymond Long, Everett Stone and
Stan Sargent be accepted, seconded by fir. Sutliff. Noted that 1z. Brumba h's

The list of absentee ballots from outside the City was read. Mr. Estes
moved to accept the list as pres:nted and to accept the challenged votes of
Elaine Lincoln, Virginia Williams, ¶'illiam Will Nic'oolas Szabo, Patricia
Szabo and William Anderson and not to a t the challenoed ballots of
Bernadine Christiansen and Tennie Riley, seconded by Mt. White. The question
was called and motion passed by unanimous roll call vote.
Ballets were counted 9 YES and 9 NO.
B. Resolution :'b. 75 -32 -R Ratification of the Special Election Results
read in full with the results filled in 174 YES votes and 60 NO votes inside
the City of Kodiak, proposition passes within tha City; 137 YES votes and
141 NO votes in the area outside the City, proposition fails in that area.

y `��''�' ''r' Nadnney asked the Assembly if it is
possible to clear the land selections made by the Borough, and the watershed
area, retain the land within the two mile limit of the City and floe up the
proposed subdivisions, does the Assembly still wish to pursue the legality
of Moody Island. It appeared that the Assembly as in agreement that if the
Village was in fact not a village the Borough should not support the village.
There was discussion on Senator Gravel's visit and his suggestion for the
two groups involved to sit down and discuss the problems. There have beta
.several public laws passed within the last few months that releaas a good
deal of public land for selection by the native corporations. Mr. Armstrong
has offered the 4,000 acre watershed in exchange for some 11,000 acres of
land an Shuyak Island. The Assembly expressed concern in entering into
negotiations without first knowing what the Borough's legal position is.

IV ADJOURNMENT
The attorney was asked to continue the regparch and to submit a
report as to the status of Borough °elec_ted lands. This report
will be submitted as soon as possible in order tha t the Assembly
may take saie action.
The meeting was adjourned at 12+4O p.m.
