WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has adopted health powers;
WHEREAS, the delivery of Emergency Medical Services on Kodiak
Island is a boroughwide concern which requires cooperation of the Kodiak
Island Borough, U.S. Coast Guard, Kodiak Island Hospital, city of Kodiak
Ambulance Service, KANA EMS program and other agencies; and
WHEREAS, these funds have passed to the Kodiak Area Native
Association for the past several years to supplement the village EMS program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly to accept the grant funds of $32,450 and direct staff to complete
the necessary forms and accounting to manage such funds, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the grant of $32,450 shall be
passed through as a grant to the Kodiak Area Native Association to complete
the scope of work for the grant and staff is directed to complete the forms
and accounting to discharge this program.
