1981-18 Supporting Senate Bill Number 25 and Number 26 In The Twelfth Legislature Of The State Of Alaska.ALASKA.
WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough passed Resolution 80 -22 -R (June 5,
!.I 1980), endorsing the Terror Lake Hydroelectric Project to provide Kodiak Island
i i Borough citizens with a dependable electric power source that is not dependent
on fossil fuels; and
WHEREAS, the Senate Bill Number 25 establishes a power project devel-
opment fund in the Alaska Power Authority; and
WHEREAS, Senate Bill Number 26 makes special appropriations to the
Alaska Power Authority's power project development fund for the Terror Lake
Hydroelectric Project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Assembly'of the Kodiak Island
Borough that:
�.! Section 1. The Kodiak Island Borough supports Senate Bill 25 sub-
mitted to the Twelfth Legislature of the State of Alaska entitled, An Act
'. establishing a power project development fund in the Alaska Power Authority
and amending the Alaska Power Authority Act; and providing for an effective
, date " and urges its passage, by Alaska House of Representatives.
•� Section 2. The Kodiak Island Borough supports Senate Bill 26 sub -
j mitted to the Twelfth Legislature of the State of Alaska entitled, " An Act
i i making special appropriations to the Alaska Power Authority for energy projects
and for the power production cost assistance program; and providing for an
effective date" and urges its passage by the Alaska House of Representatives.
