1969-37 Ratifying And Confirming The Results Of The October 7, 1969 General Election.WHEREAS, pursuant to law the Kodiak Island Borough held a General Municipal Election in the Borough on Tuesday, October 7, 1969, at which time candidates for the following office$ to be filled were voted on: Two (2) Borough Assemblymen, one for a one -year term and one for a three -year term and two (2) School Board Members, each for a three -year term and one (1) Borough Chairman for a two - year term and WHEREAS, the returns of said election have been delivered and canvassed by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly: Section 1: That the Assembly finds and hereby ratifies and declares the results of the General Municipal Election held within the Kodiak Island Borough on Tuesday, October 7, 1969, to be as follows: That ED NAUGHTON received 468 votes for the position of Borough Assemblyman for a three -year term and ROBERT WAAGE received 110 votes; therefore ED NAUGHTON was elected to that position. r That T.T. JACKSON received 2AL. votes for the position of Borough Assemblyman for a one -year term; ROBERT SPENCER receive 123 votes for the same position; RICHARD OLSEN received 101 votes A RESOLUTION RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING THE RESULTS OF THE OCTOBER 7, 1969, GENERAL ELECTION for the same position; and OKEY CHANDLER received 104 votes for th same position; therefore, T.T. JACKSON was and is hereby declared to have been elected to the position of Borough Assemblyman for a one -year term. Page One, RESOLUTION NO. 69 -37 -R KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUTION NUMBER 69 -37 -R That WILTON WHITE received 933 votes for the position of Borough Chairman for a two -year term and JO HAJDU received581 votes for the same position and therefore it is hereby declared that WILTON WHITE has been elected to the position of Borough Chairman for a two -year term. That RICHARD WHITE received 767 votes for the position; of school board member for a three -year term; JIM H. BRANSON received 727 votes for the position of school board member; RICHARH H. BENTSON received 685 votes for the same position; and ANTHONY PEREZ received 477 votes for the same position; therefore it is hereby declared that RICHARD WHITE and JIM H. BRANSON have each been elected to the school board for a three -year term. Section 2: That the Borough Clerk be and she is hereby authorized and directed to perform any and all incidental duties in connection herewith as required by law.
