1969-34 Approving Agreement With Secretary Of HUD For Pilot Payment In Lieu Of Taxes, Aleutian Homes.(SEAL) ATTEST: // r KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH RESOLUrIQd NUMBER 69 -34 —R RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH SECRETARY OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development has agreed to make a payment in lieu of taxes equal to real estate taxes that would otherwise be levied on the properties for the year 1969, now owned by the Government, in the Aleutian Homes, Inc., subdivision of the east addition, Kodiak, Alaska; and WHEREAS, said Secretary has accordingly submitted an Agreement which has been duly read in open meeting, fully considered in accordance with all pertinent rules of procedure and legal requirements, and made a part of the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly's records; and WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable that said Agreement be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly that the said Agreement, a true and correct copy of which is hereto attached, be and the same hereby is accepted without reservation or qualification, and the proper officials of the Assembly are authorized to execute documents evidencing such acceptance and take such further action as may be necessary. Adopted and approved by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly on the /R "� day of ..=cn z_ , 1969. Chairman CERTIFICATE OF RECORDING OFFICER I, the undersigned, the duly qualified and acting Clerk of Kodiak Island Borough Assembly, and the keeper of the records of the Assembly, including the Journal of proceedings of the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly, do hereby certify: 1. That the attached Resolution is a true and correct copy of the Resolution as finally adopted at a meeting of the Assembly c held on the /HP 1.3 day of 2,c) , 1969, and duly recorded in my office; 2. That said meeting was duly convened and held in all respects in accordance with law and to the extent required by law due and proper notice of such meeting was given; and a legal quorum was present throughout the meeting, and a legally sufficient number of members of the Assembly voted in the proper manner and for the adoption of said Resolution; and that all other requirements and proceedings under the law incident to the proper passage or adoption of said Resolution, including publication, if required, have beam duly fulfilled, carried out, and otherwise observed; and that I am authorized to execute this certificate.
