OLD BUSINESS
A) Trails Plan
Cassidy stated in your packet is a flyer to circulate and advertise for the public meeting, the
agenda, and the last page is the schedule summary. We may do the Talk of the Rock on the
hotline. The consultants will be blowing up the map to try to get more specific trail
information. There will be tables set up with maps to try to capture any last minute trails.
COMMITTEE MEMBERS TSCHERSICH and HUNTLEY expressed concern with discrepancies
on the map.
CHAIR SIROFCHUCK will talk to Diana Gish about the Talk of the Rock.
Discussion
In response to CHAIR SIROFCHUCK'S inquiry of will the consultants be writing a draft plan
over the summer, Cassidy stated he couldn't answer that but we still need to get the trail
descriptions.
COMMITTEE MEMBER HUNTLEY suggested the flyer should say Community Trails
Meeting.

COMMUNICATIONS
COMMITTEE MEMBER WEST stated she brought a map with the 3 proposed areas for a
bike path that she will send to Alta. She spent 2 hours with 2 DOWL engineers, Natasha
Hayden and Aaron Christie driving the path. Aaron Christie offered to give a preliminary
cost estimate free of charge thanks to Skip Bolton. They found some new potential trails.
She will be providing letters asking the Planning Zoning and Assembly to make this a
priority on the CIP. West is requesting permission to start clearing the path for dirt bikes
and jogging this summer with volunteer help. Rob Greene told her to let him know if
permission is granted and he will hopefully provide help. She said they're going to request
a grant from Specialized Bike and Erin Whipple is helping to put that together.
COMMITTEE MEMBER TSCHERSICH stated the Obama administration just proposed or
funded a program with several billion dollars to promote non motorized transportation.
